Robb Pitts, Chairman of Fulton County, USA, and a delegation visited the Seongnam City Council on April 22 to promote exchanges between the two regions.
The delegation met with Vice Chairperson Park Eun-mi and Culture and Welfare Committee Chairperson Ahn Geuk-soo to discuss ways to promote friendship and exchange between the two regions.
“We are looking to establish partnerships with Korean companies that are interested in expanding into Fulton County,” said Chairman Robb Pitts, “and we would like to establish industrial exchanges with tech-savvy small and medium-sized ventures in Seongnam.
Vice Chair Park Eun-mi responded, “I sincerely welcome Chairman Fulton and his delegation to the Seongnam City Council. It is very meaningful to have an exchange between councils to share experiences with local governments and explore ways to cooperate with each other.” “I think this visit will be an important opportunity to develop the relationship between our two regions,” she said.
Fulton County is located in the northwest of the Southeastern U.S. state of Georgia and is the largest of Georgia's 159 counties, with approximately 150,000 Korean-Americans. It is also an economic center with large companies such as CNN, Delta Air Lines, and Coca-Cola.
