The Embassy of Peru organizes the “Peru Day” in Seoul

Some activities such as painting bulls and altarpieces were carried out

On October 5 and 6, in the frame of the Program “Seoul Outdoor Library” from the Seoul Metropolitan Library; the Embassy of Peru in Korea organized the “Peru Day”, event in which a pavilion was presented.


For the occasion, the Embassy programed some activities such as painting bulls and altarpieces, reading Peruvian books in Spanish and Korean, and experiencing traditional costumes. Likewise, a storytelling activity was carried out, in which children and adults enjoyed the story created for the story “Migrants” by the renowned author Issa Watanabe as well as the history of Pucara Bulls.

 


The Peruvian booth had an area for taking photos and Peruvian snacks were given to the participants. Additionally, the public enjoyed 2 concerts. On Saturday 5th, the artist Lenin Tamayo, creator of Q’Pop, a combination between Andean sounds and K-Pop, played for the audience; and on Sunday, the musical group “Proyecto Perú” made its debut, conformed by 4 Peruvian artists living in Korea.

 


The Peruvian pavilion was widely visited and praised during the two days of the event. It is worth mentioning that that weekend approximately 5 thousand people gathered, who praised the Peruvian stand and showed a lot of interest in the activities that were carried out.
