Singapore Tourism Board (STB) announced the appointment of Nicky Seet as the new head of its Korea office on Dec. 20.

Nicky Seet will continue to lead strategic planning, marketing and promotional activities to make Singapore an attractive destination for Koreans, in line with the launch of Singapore Tourism Board's new global campaign, 'Made in Singapore'.

She joined Singapore Tourism Board in 2015 as Senior Manager, Lifestyle Area Development, where she spearheaded the regeneration of Singapore's Orchard Road and supported various community activities. Orchard Road has recently seen an increase in Korean shops.

In 2018, in collaboration with the Orchard Road Singapore Business Association and Disney, she launched the first Disney-themed edition of one of Singapore's signature annual holiday events, Christmas on the Great Street.

Prior to leading the Korea office, Nicky Seet was head of the Beijing office, where she developed key initiatives in branded content, brand, digital and trade partnerships to help grow Singapore's tourism industry.

"Through tourism planning and marketing tailored to the dynamic and trendy Korean market, we aim to make Singapore an attractive, memorable and unique destination for Korean travelers," said Nicky Seet, adding, "We will strive to ensure that the Korean travel industry and Singapore's tourism industry grow together to capitalize on the ever-increasing travel demand."
