Peter van der Vliet, the Dutch Ambassador to Korea, and his delegation visited the headquarters of the Busan Port Authority (BPA) on October 22 to discuss mutual cooperation in port and logistics sectors.
Both sides shared the status of existing cooperation and exchanged views on the potential for expanding future exchanges.
After meeting with BPA President Song Sang-geun, the delegation boarded a port tour boat to observe the North Port area of Busan Port.
According to BPA, Busan Port has maintained friendly relations with the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands since establishing a sister port agreement in 1985.
In 2022, BPA established and began operating a logistics center within the Port of Rotterdam, serving as an overseas logistics hub for Korean companies.
