The Global Culture Economy Link Association (GCEL), chaired by Kim Ji-young (Julia), successfully hosted the event “Global Students’ Culture Day with the Children of Sundukhome” on October 22 at the Embassy Residence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Hannam-dong, Seoul.
The event was organized in partnership with the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Seoul and began with a warm welcoming speech by H.E. Abdulla Saif Al Nuaimi, the Ambassador of the UAE to the Republic of Korea, followed by remarks from GCEL Chairperson Kim Ji-young.

Ambassador Al Nuaimi emphasized the UAE’s rich traditions of hospitality and cultural appreciation, expressing his hope that the event would strengthen mutual understanding between the two nations.
The program gathered children from Sundukhome, volunteers, and diplomats, who together experienced Arab culture, hospitality, tea and food traditions, and shared educational values. The event offered a meaningful opportunity to learn and connect, blending culture and education in a warm atmosphere of friendship and respect.
Chairperson Kim Ji-young stated, “Culture is the bridge that connects hearts. I hope today’s experience will inspire our children with confidence and open their eyes to the wider world.”
Through this initiative, GCEL continues to foster cross-cultural dialogue and social contribution, providing educational and cultural programs for children while promoting inclusion and empathy. The association reaffirmed its commitment to working with diplomatic communities in Korea to support underprivileged children and expand global cultural exchange activities.
