Tajikistan took center stage in a series of major cultural events across the Republic of Korea, underscoring the deepening partnership between Central Asia and Korea. The events, held in collaboration with the Korea Foundation, the Asian Cultural Center (ACC), and the Central Asia-Korea Friendship Association, featured celebrated Tajik art, fashion, and music.
The celebrations kicked off on September 30, 2025, in Seoul with the 7th Central Asian-Republic of Korea Friendship Day. A highlight of the day was a stunning fashion show presenting Tajikistan's national costumes by the talented and famous designer Vays Asoev.

Designer Vays Asoev’s work was again showcased on October 2, 2025, at the Asian Cultural Event held by the Korea Foundation and the ACC in Gwangju, where his beautiful Tajik dresses captivated attendees.
The traditional music of Tajikistan was brought to life by the renowned Falak State Ensemble at two separate showcases of Central Asian artistic groups: October 4, 2025: Asian Cultural Festival in Gwangju and October 6, 2025: "Unity through Culture" event in Seoul.

At both events, the ensemble delivered a captivating performance that was warmly received by large Korean audiences. Highlights included the soulful singing and traditional melodies of talented artists Fotima Mashrabova and Shohin Abdulloev, complemented by the group's enchanting instrumental compositions.
The ensemble proudly represents Falak, the traditional folklore music of Tajikistan, which means ‘heaven,’ ‘fortune,’ and ‘universe.’ It is a deeply cherished part of the nation's heritage, recognized globally by its inscription in 2021 on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Ambassador Kirom Salohiddin of Tajikistan addressed attendees, stressing the profound value of these cultural exchanges.
“These vibrant celebrations are a powerful testament to the value of cultural exchange," Ambassador Kirom stated. "By sharing our unique traditions, our art, and our culture, we create a stronger foundation for mutual understanding and respect."
He honored Tajikistan’s legacy as a "vibrant crossroad of civilization" and the center of the Great Silk Road, where cultures and ideas have intertwined for centuries.
Ambassador Kirom concluded by emphasizing the commitment to future collaboration: "Through these exchanges, we can foster a deeper appreciation for our diverse cultures and we look forward to building stronger partnerships rooted in mutual understanding and shared values."
