In his dinner address, Minister Cho stated that the network of Korean politicians worldwide broadens our diplomatic horizons and serves as a powerful voice for Korea in the policy-making processes of various countries.

Furthermore, Minister Cho pledged to respect the wisdom and experience of Korean politicians, support the growth of political power within the Korean diaspora community, and develop a strategic partnership of mutual benefit and cooperation between the government and the diaspora community.
The World Korean Politicians Forum is an event where Korean politicians actively serving worldwide gather to explore mutually beneficial development strategies with their homeland and promote the rights and interests of Korean communities in their countries of residence.
It is hosted by the World Korean Politicians Council (Chairperson: Cindy Liu, Washington State Representative, USA) and sponsored by the Overseas Koreans Cooperation Center.
Since its inception in 2007, it has contributed to consolidating the capabilities of the overseas Korean community and building friendly developmental relationships between the Republic of Korea and various countries.
Marking its 11th iteration since the inaugural forum in 2007, this year's World Korean Politicians Forum will run for three nights and four days from September 2 to September 5.
Fifty-one overseas Korean politicians from 10 countries will participate, exploring the role of Korean politicians across diverse fields and exchanging broad perspectives on practical measures to enhance the political influence of the overseas Korean community.
