Seminar on “Digitalization of Education” for Tajikistan teachers kicks off

It offers great promise for the future of digital education in Tajikistan

Seminar on “Digitalization for the Education” for Tajikistani teachers, organized by the Sejong Education office, kicked off in Sejong city on August 4, 2025.

 

This initiative marks a significant milestone in the educational partnership between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Tajikistan, one that holds great promise for the future of digital education in Tajikistan.

 

 

It is worth underlining that the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon has consistently shown strong support for digitalization as a key driver of the Tajikistan's development. A landmark initiative from H. E. President Emomali Rahmon was declaration of 2025-2030 as the "Years of Digital Economy and Innovation Development.

 

Digitalization is also considered as an important pillar for the transformation and improvement of education in Tajikistan. Tajikistan has already taken concrete steps in this direction, including the creation of a "National Road Map for the Digitalization of the Education System (2023)" and the "National Program for the Introduction of ICT in Educational Institutions (2023–2027)."

 

With the support of international partners, like the Republic of Korea the country is working to expand broadband connectivity to schools, develop digital learning platforms, and train its teachers to lead the digital transformation.

 

Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Korea while addressing the opening ceremony of the said Seminar expressed sincere gratitude to the Sejong Office of Education for organizing this program, and noted with confidence that the knowledge and experience shared through this program will not only enhance the capabilities of teachers but also inspire countless students to become active participants in the digital age.

 

The two-week seminar will provide 30 Tajik teachers with an opportunity to learn about Korea's experience with digitalization, particularly in the education sector.
