Chairman Kang Ho-dong of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF) met with Vietnam's Fatherland Front Central Committee Chairman Do Van Chien at the NACF headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, on July 31 and discussed ways for mutual development in the agricultural sectors of both countries.

This meeting with Chairman Do Van Chien, who is visiting Korea at the invitation of the Korea Foundation, was held to strengthen the strategic partnership between NACF and Vietnam.

Chairman Do Van Chien stated, "I deeply appreciate NACF's long-standing partnership with Vietnam and its contributions to the development of agriculture and local communities in Vietnam. I look forward to this visit to Korea to further strengthen our relationship with NACF and to continued cooperation in various fields."

Chairman Kang said, "Vietnam is one of the countries where Nonghyup Korea is most actively cooperating. We currently operate seven offices in Vietnam, including banking, trade, and securities offices, and are engaged in various projects."

He added, "We look forward to active cooperation, including expanding Nonghyup agricultural and food product exports and securing approval for the establishment of a Nonghyup Bank branch in Ho Chi Minh City. We will continue to provide comprehensive support to strengthen practical cooperation between our two countries."
