The meeting was organized at the request of the Embassy of Peru in Seoul to build cooperation and promote exchanges between Sejong City and major cities in Peru.

Sejong City is expected to draw rich cultural results by utilizing the strengths of Sejong City, which is developing as the Korean Language and Culture Capital, along with Peru's capital city of Lima.

Mayor Choi welcomed the Peruvian ambassador and introduced the background of Sejong City's birth and the city's development process.
