CEO Lee Eun-jae of Korea Finance for Construction (K-FINCO), a professional construction cooperative, held a meeting with Ukrainian Ambassador to Korea Dmytro Ponomarenko at the cooperative's headquarters in Dongjung-gu, Seoul, on Feb. 6 to strengthen strategic cooperation.

The meeting was attended by K-FINCO CEO Lee Eun-jae, Executive Director Park Sung-jin, Ambassador Ponomarenko, and Counselor for Economic Affairs at the Embassy of Ukraine in Seoul.

K-FINCO CEO Lee Eun-jae sought ways with the Ukrainian side to jointly explore opportunities for domestic construction companies to participate in Ukraine's reconstruction projects.

In the future, K-FINCO will provide financial services such as guarantees to domestic construction companies that win local construction contracts to facilitate their business in Ukraine.

"Ukraine is strengthening strategic cooperation with the Korean government on reconstruction projects through the expansion of the EDCF," said Ambassador Ponomarenko, "and we hope that K-FINCO will help lead Korean construction companies to participate in reconstruction projects."

"With the prospect of an early end to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict after the official inauguration of the second Trump administration, expectations for the Korean construction industry's participation in Ukraine's reconstruction project are growing," said CEO Lee Eun-jae.

"K-FINCO will spare no effort to support Korean construction companies' successful overseas expansion through cooperation with Ukraine."
