(New Year Message)
Dear readers of the Diplomacy Journal,
As we welcome the New Year 2025, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all readers and the people of the Republic of Korea. May this year bring peace, prosperity, and success to everyone.

The year zo24 was a significant period in Sri Lanka-Korea relations. Our collaboration flourished across trade, education, culture, and tourism. Highlights included the successful launch of joint trade initiatives and cultural
events celebrating the rich heritage of both nations. We also strengthened our academic exchanges, providing opportunities for young minds to connect and grow. These efforts reflect the enduring partnership between our nations, built on shared values and mutual respect.

Looking ahead to 2c.25, we aim to deepen bilateral ties further. On the economic front, we will continue promoting Sri Lanka as a hub for trade and investment, emphasizing key sectors such as (tea, spices, and apparel), which have earned global recognition.

Additionally, the contributions of Sri Lankan workers in Korea remain a vital part o[ our shared economic success, as their efforts not only support industries here but also contribute significantly to Sri Lanka's development. Our Embassy is committed to fostering initiatives that benefit both nations, ensuring these economic ties grow stronger.

Tourism remains a vital area of focus. Known as the "Pearl of the Indian Ocean," Sri Lanka offers unparalleled natural beauty and cultural richness. We warmly invite Korean travelers to experience our breathtaking landscapes, historic sites, and welcoming hospitality.
As we embark on this new journey, I express my deep appreciation to the Government and people of Korea for their steadfast support and friendship. Together, we look forward to a brighter future ofpeace, prosperity, and rnutual growth.
Wishing everyone a joyful and fulfilling New Year, filled with hope and opportunity.
