Gimpo City and Fergana of Uzbekistan discuss exchange cooperation

Seeking friendly exchange and cooperation between the two cities

Gimpo City, which is moving toward becoming a global city by strengthening external cooperation, held a meeting with a delegation from Fergana Province, Uzbekistan, on November 26 at Gimpo City Hall to discuss exchange cooperation between the two cities.

 

The visit was attended by a 19-member delegation, including Governor Khayrullo Hayitboyevich Bozorov of Fergana Province and Mayor Kim Byung-soo of Gimpo City. They explored cooperation between Fergana City, the capital of Fergana Province, and Gimpo City.

 

 

Fergana City is the capital of Fergana Province and the center of the oil production and refining industry, as well as other industries such as building materials, auto parts, and other products, and is home to most companies in Fergana Province.

 

“Gimpo City is a city that continues to grow as a center for transportation and logistics in the metropolitan area, and we look forward to achieving win-win development through economic, educational, and human exchanges with Fergana,” said Mayor Kim Byung-soo in his welcome speech, emphasizing the importance of this meeting.

 

“As the capital of Fergana Province and the center of the Silk Road, Fergana City is actively attracting investment based on its rich potential, and cooperation with Gimpo City will lead to the development of both cities,” said Governor Khayrullo Hayitboyevich Bozorov.

 

The discussion concluded with Governor Bozorov expressing his desire to formally invite a delegation from Gimpo City to sign a friendship exchange agreement with Fergana next year, and Gimpo City will also make preparations for this future agreement.
