The South Korean National Assembly is a mess. With political conflicts and confrontations reaching a fever pitch, the National Assembly is more focused on political strife than on policies for the people. In this situation, people's expectations of the National Assembly are getting lower and lower, which is causing serious problems across the country.
It is not just politicians who are responsible for the current state of the National Assembly. The people are also at fault. They often make poor judgments in elections and are swayed by inflammatory media and fake news to cast their votes. As a result of this ignorance and apathy, the National Assembly is filled with some irresponsible politicians.
The current political situation in the country, under which the opposition party is a majority, is further fueling conflict. With the ruling and opposition parties choosing confrontation over cooperation, the National Assembly is becoming more of a power struggle than a policy debate. As a result, bills and policies that are important to people's lives often drift or become stalled. In this situation, people lose trust in politics, and this creates a vicious cycle.
In order to change politics, we need to strengthen political education, both for the people and for politicians. People need to be educated so that they can make the right decisions about politics. This should be done at all levels of society, not just in schools.
The role of the media must also be strengthened. The media should provide fair and accurate information, and there should be a self-motivated effort to prevent fake news and inflammatory reporting.
In addition, both the public and politicians need to change in order for the National Assembly to become the institution it should be. The people need to be interested in politics and make good judgments, and politicians need to make responsible politics for the people. Only when these changes are made will the National Assembly be able to regain the trust of the people and become the institution they deserve.
I hope that politicians will recognize that the people are the masters and that the people are turning their backs on the behavior of some politicians, which is being exposed every day. The people are the masters of the country.
Nowadays, the way people look at some politicians is changing. This is not the right politics, it's shameful politics. To correct this, the people must take ownership and make the right judgment.
