The Embassy of Nepal hosts the Nepal’s Tourism Promotion Event in Seoul

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Nepal-Korea diplomatic relations

The Embassy of Nepal in Korea hosted the Nepal’s Tourism Promotion Event and B2B Meeting at the Korea Press Center in Seoul on June 27, 2024.

 

Delivering welcoming and opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Jyoti Pyakural, Ambassador of Nepal to the Republic of Korea, said, “Nepal and Korea need to expand bilateral cooperation, especially in the tourism sector, this year, which marks the 50th anniversary of Nepal-Korea diplomatic relations. Accordingly, I hope that more Korean tourists will visit the beautiful country Nepal.”

 

 

In the Nepal destination presentation, Hikmat Singh Ayer, senior director of Napal Tourism Board, said, “Nepal has all four seasons and many tourism products, including beautiful national parks and conservation areas, not to mention Mt. Himalaya trekking.”

 

“Among a wide variety of tour services,” he said, “there are jungle safari rafting, Bungee jump, paragliding, tea house trek and tour coach to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, and Chitwan.”

 

Lumbini is also the educational soil of Gautam Buddha (Shakyamuni Buddha), where he resided for 29 years since his birth and received teachings from renowned scholars and sages of his time.

 

More than 100 foreign and domestic guests, including a number of representatives from travel agencies in Nepal, attended the event.
