President Yoon has a summit with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida

Discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation further

President Yoon Suk-yeol, who was in New Delhi, India, to attend the G20 Summit, held a summit with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on Sept. 10.

 

 

The two leaders said they were pleased to meet for the sixth time since March and the sixth time in a six-month period. The President suggested that the two countries continue to meet actively in the second half of this year, and that the process for holding the Korea-Japan-China Summit be well advanced. Prime Minister Kishida said he would respond positively.

 

The two leaders assessed the recent developments in bilateral ties and discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, and they also agreed to cooperate and contribute responsibly to global issues.
