In a new step to strengthen its presence in global tourism markets, the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and in cooperation with the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Seoul, hosted representatives from leading Korean travel agencies as part of an exceptional familiarization tour held from 15 to 22 January 2026.
The tour provided representatives of Hana Tour, Mode Tour, Very Good Tour, MyRealTrip, and Yanatrip with a unique opportunity to discover the diversity of Oman’s tourism product, which combines cultural authenticity, stunning natural landscapes, adventure experiences, and refined hospitality.
The group of representatives traveled across several of the Sultanate’s key tourism destinations. The itinerary included Muscat’s cultural landmarks, such as the Royal Opera House Muscat, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, and Muttrah Souq and Fort. The group also explored many of Oman's natural wonders during trips to Bimmah Sinkhole, the river valleys of Wadi Shab and Wadi Bani Khalid, the Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve, and the verdant mountains of Jabal Akhdar. The trip also extended from the cities of Sur and Nizwa to a distinctive desert experience in Wahiba Sands.
Visits to a number of hotels, resorts, and golf courses allowed the Korean travel agencies to closely review the quality of Oman’s tourism services and advanced infrastructure. They were invited to explore opportunities for designing high-quality tourism programs that meet Korean travelers’ expectations.
Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism is committed to strengthening partnerships with promising international markets through such initiatives. It is positioning the Sultanate as an integrated tourism destination that combines quality, sustainability, and an authentic cultural experience.
