NCSOFT announced that its new MMORPG, AION 2, will officially launch in Korea and Taiwan on November 19.

Pre-registration opened on September 11 through the official website and major app marketplaces. Players can reserve server and character names starting October 16, and pre-create customized characters beginning November 16, ahead of launch.

All pre-registered players will receive a Pet Selection Box (Zaif/Papis) and a 100,000 Kinah Box. Those who register by September 14 will also be entered into a drawing for tickets to G-STAR 2025.

During the AION2NIGHT livestream, the development team unveiled mobile gameplay highlighting intuitive controls and emphasized the game’s polished, stable play experience, heightening anticipation for launch.

The team also detailed the game’s business model, which offers Memberships and Passes for convenience, along with a wide range of cosmetic items such as Costumes, Weapon Skins, Pets, and Wings. Players will also be able to exchange in-game currency for premium currency.

Core PvP content including the Abyss was introduced through a live demo featuring the Assassin class, one of the most popular and iconic classes from the original AION. The Abyss is a competitive battlefield where players fight over field bosses, artifacts, and Abyss Points, with unrestricted race-based PvP. Classic elements from the original IP, including Elyos vs. Asmodian conflict and Flight Circles, also make a return.

A live Q&A fact-check session addressed player questions on topics such as the adoption of a mobile-style UI, dungeon teleportation mechanics, the type of currency used in the Exchange, and whether an auto-play system will be implemented.
