Bahk Gyurng-goog, CEO of Korea Gas Safety Corporation (KGS) met with Ambassador of the Republic of Mongolia to Korea Sukhbold Sukhee at the KGS headquarters in Chungbuk Innovation City to discuss ways to strengthen gas safety cooperation between Korea and Mongolia.
The visit was organized as a follow-up to CEO Bahk's visit to the Embassy of Mongolia last year to expand cooperation in the energy and gas safety fields between the two countries. KGS is supporting Mongolia's energy transition from coal to gas in response to severe air pollution.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the legal framework for gas safety in Mongolia, plans for capacity-building projects, future cooperation plans, and Korea's gas safety management system and implications, and took a tour of the Gas Safety Comprehensive Situation Management Center and the Hydrogen Safety Museum to experience Korea's gas safety management system firsthand.
“We will continue to cooperate with Mongolia's energy transition policy, which will be implemented in earnest from this year, so that the KGS can make a substantial contribution to dramatically improving gas safety levels,” said CEO Bahk.
Meanwhile, KGS has been cooperating with Mongolian gas-related organizations such as the Mongolian government and the Gas and Fuel Association through various forms of cooperation such as gas safety technical advice and educational support.
