Genesis BBQ hosted an official tea time event, “Strawberry Afternoon Tea,” with the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea (BCCK) at its Songridan-gil branch in Seoul on April 11.
The event was a communication event organized by the BCCK and was attended by about 50 key figures, including British Deputy Ambassador to Korea Gareth Weir and BCCK CEO Lucinda Walker. YouTuber Josh, who is known for his K-food content, was also present.

BBQ introduced the 'Love in London' promotion centered on the strawberry afternoon tea set to coincide with the event. The promotion, which is only available at the Songridangil branch until April 30, features a modernized table setting and menu with a British flair.
The BBQ Songridgil branch was decorated with a cherry blossom-themed interior to add a springtime vibe to the event, and guests enjoyed seasonal menu items such as afternoon tea sets, strawberry beer, and caramelized liqueur cheese cake, alongside BBQ's signature chicken dishes.
“It's impressive that BBQ, the world's leading K-Chicken brand, has developed a new menu around afternoon tea, an iconic food and culture that the British love,” said British Deputy Ambassador to Korea Gareth Weir. ”And we hope that this will lead to greater economic and cultural exchange between our two countries.”
“If the British monarch were to visit Korea, I would definitely invite him to BBQ Village Songridangil Branch,” said BCCK CEO Lucinda Walker. ”I was surprised to see that the British spirit can be expressed so elegantly in Korea through space and food, and I will visit often in the future.”
