(New Year Message)
Dear readers of the Diplomacy Journal,

As we stand on the threshold of a new year, I sincerely wish you and your loved ones a year ahead filled with hope, good health, and happiness.

The year that has passed has been a remarkable one for Uzbekistan, marked by significant achievements and important milestones. We have taken bold steps toward advancing the potential and competitiveness of our nation. Key sectors of our economy are progressing dynamically, with the inauguration of modern enterprises, high-tech industries, and new transport and communication networks. These developments not only strengthen our economy but also create extensive opportunities for small businesses, private entrepreneurship, and job creation, particularly for our youth and women.

In the implementation of national programs, we have witnessed a transformation in the appearance of our cities and communities. The fields of science, education, and healthcare have entered a new era, with the construction of modern kindergartens, universities, and branches of leading international institutions. Our people’s living standards continue to rise, instilling a growing sense of confidence in the future.

The democratic values of openness and transparency continue to guide our progress, and this year, we have seen a new chapter in our political landscape. The parliamentary elections held in October 2024, conducted under a renewed Constitution, were a testament to our commitment to democratic principles. The elections were transparent, competitive, and in line with international standards, further solidifying our path toward reform.

This year also marked the implementation of the «Uzbekistan 2030» strategy, laying the foundation for our long-term development. We have launched crucial initiatives on the international stage and seen continued economic growth, with high-tech industries, modern infrastructure, and cultural and sports facilities transforming the fabric of our society. The dream of a New Uzbekistan is becoming a reality through the collective efforts of our people.

As we reflect on 2024, we declared it the «Year of Support for Youth and Business». Our focus was on creating new opportunities for young people and supporting entrepreneurship. We continued to promote innovation, the IT sector, and the development of 'green' and digital technologies. A key priority was the creation of jobs, increasing the income of our citizens, and providing comprehensive support to women, the elderly, and vulnerable populations.

The remarkable achievements of our athletes at the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris this year further demonstrated the potential of our youth. Their outstanding success, with 8 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals, showcased the strength and resilience of New Uzbekistan. Our nation ranked 13th overall and first among the Turkic and Islamic countries and the Commonwealth of Independent States, marking unprecedented achievements in our history.

Looking ahead, Uzbekistan is entering a crucial phase in its development, focusing on continued reforms and national progress. In 2025, we will deepen our efforts to create a business-friendly environment, promote entrepreneurship, and ensure that the younger generation is equipped with the education and opportunities to realize their full potential.

Our diplomatic efforts will also intensify, with a special focus on strengthening our «Special Strategic Partnership» with the Republic of Korea, which will contribute to regional peace and stability.

I wish that peace, prosperity, and happiness touch every home in 2025, in Uzbekistan, Korea, and beyond.
May our dreams and hopes come true, and may the friendship and cooperation between our countries continue to flourish.

Happy New Year!
