"The priority of the national government is people's lives," President Yoon Suk-yeol said at his first meeting with Prime Minister Han Deok-soo after the general election on April 15, adding, "Let's do our best to stabilize people's lives."

Yoon also asked the prime minister to "review the working atmosphere of the civil service and the discipline of the civil service in order to stabilize people's lives," according to his spokesperson Kim Soo-kyung.

Yoon had also issued a message emphasizing "civil stability" on April 11, the day after the general election. "We will humbly accept the will of the people to renew the national government and do our best to stabilize the economy and people's livelihoods," Yoon said through presidential press secretary Lee Kwan-seop.

"We understand that he will explain more specifically the direction of the national reform through the live-streamed cabinet meeting and reveal his policy of cooperating with the ruling and opposition parties," said a presidential office official. This is the first time Yoon has delivered a direct message since the April 10 general election defeat.

However, he is not expected to hold a separate public discourse or press conference. "If he makes remarks about the general election during the cabinet meeting, there is no need for a separate speech," the official said.
