The 2nd Korea Fiber Art Association (President Kang Hae-woon) members' exhibition, which has been receiving a lot of attention for its fresh attempts in a new art genre, was held at the Lamer Gallery's 1st Exhibition Hall in Insa-dong from February 14 to 19.
Established in 2021, the Korea Fiber Art Association is holding its second exhibition, where all the exhibited works are made of fabric, but artists use natural plant-based materials such as ink, fabric paints, and acrylics as pigments and create paintings.
It is an exhibition of calligraphy artists, showing a variety of works on cloth, from natural vegetable materials to animal silk and recycled synthetic materials.
The exhibition showcased the artistic sensibilities of artists from all over the country, who were encouraged to expand their creative fields from flat works on paper to three-dimensional works on textiles and artworks that are close to life, and to pioneer a new art genre that meets the aesthetics of modern people.
President Kang Hae-woon, leading the Korea Fiber Art Association, shared ambitious plans to open up a new art genre with works that harmonize with the aesthetic sense and living space of modern people through the diversification of materials and creative techniques in the field of painting.
This exhibition, showcasing a new genre in contemporary art, aims to utilize art broadly and take advantage of the opportunity for expansion by becoming a cultural art exhibition enjoyed by all.
