Busan marked the first anniversary of the Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation between Almaty and Busan

As part of the celebration of the first anniversary of the signing of the Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation between the cities of Almaty and Busan, a concert of the Kazakh folklore and ethnographic ensemble "Sazgen Sazy" was held in Busan on Nov. 15.

 

The main organizers of the event were the Busan City Hall, the Busan Global City Foundation with the support of the Akimat of Almaty and the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Busan.

 

 

Residents and guests of Busan warmly welcomed the Kazakh ensemble and had the opportunity to enjoy and get to know the music of the great steppe better. 

 

Speaking with congratulatory remarks, Ambassador Nurgali Arystanov noted that this event is of particular importance in promoting cultural ties and is a "gift" for the residents of Busan.

In addition, on this day, a special lecture by Ambassador Nurgali Arystanov was held for students of Dong-Eui University. Dong-Eui University is one of the 5 largest higher educational institutions in Busan and specializes in the training of technical specialists, including for the automotive industry.

 

The students were familiarized with the priorities of Kazakhstan's foreign policy, achievements in bilateral relations, as well as with the President's initiatives to build a "Fair Kazakhstan" in the context of the recent Address to the nation of Kazakhstan.

 

It should be noted that on November 2, 2023, Dong-Eui University signed a Memorandum of cooperation with the Kostanay Regional University named after A.Baitursynov. Within the framework of this memorandum, training of technical personnel for the automotive industry of Kazakhstan is provided.

 

Thanks to various cultural, humanitarian and economic events, multifaceted ties between the cities of Almaty and Busan are successfully developing.
